A Memorable Hiking Adventure on Biod an Fhithich

This week has been filled with incredible moments on our walking holidays, and Thursday was no exception. Every wish for a superb hillwalking day was met with blue skies, settled weather, and breathtaking Highland views. Our group set out to summit Biod an Fhithich in South Glenshiel, and it was truly a day to remember.

The hike to Biod an Fhithich falls into our moderate-level category, featuring a total ascent and descent of 648 metres. This elevation provides a rewarding challenge without being too strenuous for our participants. The path was well-maintained, guiding us through the stunning Scottish landscape, and offering just the right level of challenge to keep everyone engaged and motivated. Along the way, we encountered a variety of flora and fauna, enhancing the overall experience and showcasing the natural beauty of the Highlands.

As we made our ascent, we were constantly surrounded by the awe-inspiring views that the Highlands are known for. The scenery changed with each step, from lush green valleys to rugged mountain peaks, and the crisp air was invigorating. The camaraderie within the group also added to the day’s enjoyment, as everyone encouraged one another and shared in the excitement of reaching the summit.

We owe our thanks to Dave Lamond, our excellent guide, who provided a top-class experience. His extensive knowledge of the area and enthusiasm for hiking ensured that every participant felt safe and engaged throughout the hike. With his guidance, we navigated the trail confidently, and his insights about the surrounding landscape made the experience even more enriching.

If you want to join us for a moderate-level hillwalking holiday next year, we still have places available from 30th March to 5th April. It’s a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the stunning scenery of the Scottish Highlands while enjoying the company of like-minded hikers. Additionally, we’re excited to announce that dates for 2026 have now been released. Visit our website for more details and to secure your spot! Don’t miss out on the adventure of a lifetime in this breathtaking part of the world!
