THE WHISPERING PINE LODGE

A ten minute drive, The Whispering Pine Lodge is situated on the banks of Loch Lochy and benefits from the most idyllic Highland setting. Slightly more expensive, the dishes are a little more unusual and some have an Asian twist. For the setting alone, this is a wonderful choice.

THE OLD PINES

This fabulous restaurant is a three-minute drive (or 50 minute walk) towards Gairlochy, situated just past the Commando Memorial in a fabulous setting with stunning views overlooking Ben Nevis and the Grey Corries. Situated just three miles away in Roy Bridge, The Stronlossit Inn boasts fabulous views of the Grey Corries mountain range.  It offers a more spacious environment making this a good choice for larger groups.  The menu is varied ranging from traditional fish & chips and super tasty burgers to a number of daily specials. Very reasonable prices for the area.

THE BEN NEVIS INN

Located at the foot of the Ben Nevis mountain, this charming old converted barn offers a spectacular dining back-drop in a rustic setting. The seating is on long benches evoking a very relaxed and informal atmosphere and is a popular spot for hikers and climbers. With great tasty food and friendly service, this is a wonderful choice close to Fort William.

THE BRIDGE CAFÉ

A ten minute walk from Distant Hills, the Bridge Café is a great place to get a daytime snack or enjoy a delicious slice of cake. There is always a vibrant atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. The café is open Sun – Thurs 9am – 4pm and stays open until 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. The café is also fully licensed.
