Meet Cameron and Dani: the personalities behind Distant Hills Guest House…

Having both served in the Royal Air Force for a number of years, it will come as no surprise to learn that we are super passionate about travel, adventure and the great outdoors. Our life story to date has blessed us with the incredible and varied experiences of living and working in several countries including Sardinia, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria and the USA doing some amazing jobs from military adventurous expedition training and German language interpreting to ski chalet hosting and walking and ski guiding in the Alps and the Dolomites.

Having satisfied our wanderlust and finally growing enough confidence and experience to start our own business, we opted to return home to the UK. With a constant yearning for beautiful places and the great outdoors, our instincts led us to the magical Scottish Highlands where we sought to combine our love of people and genuine hosting with the ideal surroundings to offer fantastic bed and breakfast accommodation as well as first class guided walking holidays. In 2019, our dream came true when we found Distant Hills Guest House in Spean Bridge, and shortly afterwards were introduced to the fabulous Dave Lamond and Hannah Francis, who thankfully agreed to help us develop our walking holidays.

Since moving in, we continue to have the time of our lives as we explore our new environment and discover more and more of the remarkably varied walks that surround us, as well as all the places of significant interest and beauty while learning about Scottish history, culture and traditions. We love life and we love bringing joy to others, which is why we offer more than just a place to rest your head. By taking a genuine interest in our guests, and hearing and sharing stories and laughter, we offer tailored suggestions to help create cherished memories and superb holidays, and while our house is always immaculately presented, we love nothing more than making people feel genuinely welcome and fully relaxed. We truly mean it when we say that while you are with us, our home is your home and although you might arrive as a guest, we hope you will leave as a friend!
