Walking Holiday
Booking Conditions
Making a booking and payment: To make your booking, a non-refundable deposit of £200 per person is required as well as the full completion and return of our booking form which will be emailed to you. We accept payments by cash, BACS and most cards.
Final Balances: The outstanding balance is due 12 weeks prior to arrival. We will send you a reminder one week before your full balance is due. If the balance is not received on time, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and retain your deposit.
Cancellations: No further monies beyond the non-refundable deposit will be due, if a cancellation is made more than 12 weeks before the first day of your confirmed walking holiday. If the booking is cancelled by you within 12 weeks of the first day of your confirmed walking holiday, then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made.
If we cancel your booking: Please note and understand that we require a minimum of 8 confirmed clients to run each walking holiday. If at six weeks prior to the start of your chosen walking holiday, we have not met the required number of clients, you will be notified and we will offer you alternative dates where possible or provide you with a full refund. Under these unfortunate circumstances, you will be responsible for your own expenses, including travel costs etc.
Insurance: We strongly recommend you take appropriate insurance for your holiday which includes personal injury and cancellation cover.
Transport, equipment and food: Clients will be expected to provide their own transport to the walking venue and all walking clothing and equipment. Our guides will reserve the right to refuse to take clients who are not properly equipped for their walk. Every effort will be made to ensure that clients know what suitable clothing and equipment is needed and hire arranged if necessary. However, if clients lack or have an obviously poor choice of clothing and/or equipment, which may then impact on their own safety, or safety of the group, they will not be allowed to participate, resulting in no refunds. Please note, some walks may include a train or a gondola ride. These costs are not included in the package price and must be paid for by the individual.
Medical Issues: It is the responsibility of all clients to make their walking guides aware of any medical issues that may have a bearing on their participation on the walks.
Alcohol and drugs: We reserve the right to refuse participation of clients believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and if so, no refund will be given.
Expectations: All walks will be discussed and agreed with clients the night before; however, client safety is paramount and will override any particular objective for the day. We will offer appropriate alternatives in the event of unsuitable weather conditions which may include a lower level and/or shorter walk. It is really important that you understand the constantly changing and dynamic nature of the mountains and weather conditions and remain flexible to any programme adaptations. Please understand that we will not seek to adapt the walks to accommodate personal injuries, aches or pains. It is therefore paramount that you understand your own body and abilities when selecting the level of walking holiday.
Under 18s: Any client under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian.
Pets: We do not accept pets in the guest house or to accompany a group on the guided walk.
