We try to minimise our impact on the environment by making use of low energy lighting, high levels of insulation, water saving devices, recycling and composting. We source our food as locally as possible and keep our own small flock of 10 hens to produce our free range breakfast eggs.
We aim to establish more wildlife friendly plants and practices in the garden to create a better environment for butterflies, bees and birds.
We have seen the following birds in the garden: chaffinches, sparrows, blue tits, great tits, coal tits, wrens, siskins, greenfinches, blackbirds, thrushes, robins, bull finch, and occasionally a goldfinch and a dipper. From time to time a pinemartin has been spotted and if you see it please let us know as we have to take steps to protect our hens. The hedgehog is harmless!
